My name is Cecil Mirrabo Dsouza, age 56 belonging to St Joseph Parish, Mira Road. I need your urgent help as I am going to lose everything in 3 days and with any more delay, I might lose my leg as well.
My children and my wife left me 15 years back due to differences and since then I have been all alone taking care of my ailing mother who resides at Noopur, behind the church, and working as a restaurant manager at Malhar, Mira Road. Unfortunately, during COVID restaurants were shut and I lost my job. I didn’t know this was not the end of my problems as I met with a small accident and all my problems became from bad to worst were in getting food for one time also became very difficult. I was diagnosed with varicose veins, which stops my blood supply in the leg resulting in puss.
I begged my kids for help, but they refused to help me. Ertin Charitable Trust, SVP, and my parish helped me with a certain amount for my medications which was a time being resolution but I need such a huge amount for the operation I don’t know what to do. I went to multiple places including churches and other religious places for help, but everyone had one answer submit the bills, and then I will get reimbursed or some said we don’t have money or come after 6 months. If I don’t have the money for my treatment, how can I even get admitted?
I did try Government hospital, but they refused to admit me due to COVID cases. We tried for Rajiv Gandhi yojana unfortunately this problem is not covered under the scheme. I went with references to many big hospitals, but their estimation became double and offered a maximum discount of 30 % which came back to the same point. In 3 days, I won’t have any option but to reside on the streets. With my injured leg I worked for Zomato however Zomato has a weekly payment option and with my puss leg and no money to survive, I could barely manage to work for 4 days. My only food is vada pav every single day.
Please help me with my treatment, I am a man of my word If my legs get all right, I can work hard and survive. You can verify everything that I have said. I have my Zomato employment, to documents for my illness. My leg is rotting, I just need my leg to be operated as this is the only solution to heal the wounds. Once the operation is done, I can resume my work at Zomato and manage my livelihood.
