My father was diagnosed with a tumor in his mouth due to a medical error. I went into shock as I got to know due to post surgery complications, daddy’s lungs are compressed with air. Doctors have placed him in an ICU which is approximately costing us
My name is Diana Fernandes, I belong to St. Francis Xavier’s Parish in Vile Parle. I am a teacher at St. George School, Malad.
My father Inacio was diagnosed with a tumor in his mouth which was caused due to a medical error. He has never consumed anything toxic in his life that could have caused him this tumor. This then called in for emergency surgery and we had to rush him to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai from Goa due to the complexity of his case.
In these trivial times of the pandemic, we somehow managed to accumulate funds from all available resources and the support from our relatives and friends. We have utilized our every saving to get this surgery done in time. Just when I started believing all the problems had now come to an end; I went into complete shock as I got to know that daddy’s lungs are compressed with air due to this surgery. Doctors had to place him in the ICU for further treatment, which now works to approximately Rs. 50,000/- per day. The total cost of the treatment has now been estimated to Rs. 8 lakhs.
As I work as a pre-school teacher, my income isn’t able to substantiate this medical procedure. I have exhausted every last saving to get my dad out of this and I am the only breadwinner of my maternal family. As daddy is from Goa we couldn’t get any government scheme to support us financially. This is why I am now seeking your help & support to help our family through this. We need your prayers and support in these tough times. I and my family will forever be indebted to you.
If you are not able to help us financially, we completely understand your situation. You can just share this with your friends and family so that it reaches someone somewhere, who is in a position to help us.
